RAD Studio
RAD Studio is Embarcadero's advanced development suite that brings together Delphi and C++Builder for rapid development of high-performance native applications with powerful visual design tools and integrated toolchains. In RAD Studio 13.1 Florence, Delphi provides native compilers and toolchains for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, Windows on Arm, 64-bit Linux, macOS Intel and Arm, iOS Arm64 and iOS Simulator on Arm64 macOS, plus 32-bit and 64-bit Android Arm targets. RAD Studio also includes modern C++Builder toolchains for Windows, including C++17 Win32 Clang-enhanced compilers and an updated Win64 toolchain based on Clang 20, UCRT, LLVM/MinGW runtime components, and LLVM's libc++ STL.
RAD Studio helps teams build modern native applications with FireMonkey for cross-platform development and VCL for native Windows desktop applications. The current matrix highlights support for Windows 11 and Windows 10, Windows on Arm 64-bit application development in both FireMonkey and VCL, High-DPI and 4K support, Per Monitor V2 awareness, MSIX deployment, Microsoft Edge WebView2 integration, and access to classic Win32/Win64 APIs plus enhanced WinRT API support. It also adds Windows 11-specific VCL styles and updated FireMonkey capabilities such as Skia support and the preview of a new FireMonkey Style Designer.
RAD Studio 13.1 also includes modern productivity features across the IDE, including an extended DelphiLSP architecture with LSIF support, Smart CodeInsight AI-powered coding helpers, SmartCore AI components for adding AI features to applications, and FireDAC for high-performance access to a broad range of local and enterprise databases. The matrix also highlights Data Explorer integration, direct SQL manipulation for FireDAC connections, DataSnap multi-tier development, cloud and REST client libraries, and web application support through WebStencils.
RAD Studio product editions
RAD Studio Professional includes the core RAD Studio IDE, Delphi and C++Builder compilers and toolchains, VCL and FireMonkey frameworks, visual design tools, and FireDAC-based data access. The current matrix notes that some FireDAC capabilities in Professional are limited to local connections.
RAD Studio Enterprise includes everything in Professional and adds stronger enterprise application capabilities, including enterprise database connectivity, DataSnap multi-tier development, and RAD Server Lite deployment plus a single-site RAD Server deployment license.
RAD Studio Architect includes everything in Enterprise, plus Sencha Ext JS Professional and Aqua Data Studio, together with a multi-site RAD Server deployment license for broader enterprise web and database tooling.
WebStencils extends RAD Studio's web development capabilities with server-side script-based integration and HTML processing for building modern websites powered by data extracted and processed by a RAD Studio server-side application. In 13 and 13.1, the matrix highlights support for session data, global variables, integrated WebBroker session authentication and authorization, direct dataset-property access, configurable WebStencils engine components, and HTTP Server-Sent Events support.
