3rdRail streamlines Ruby on Rails database-driven web development. It's the intuitive IDE built specifically for Ruby on Rails. 3rdRail uses an in-depth understanding of the semantics and conventions of Rails to enable comprehensive functionality, including code completion, navigation, and refactoring. 3rdRail provides lightweight, dynamic exploration and navigation of the relationships between logical and physical project artifacts, including those defined by the Model-View-Controller pattern. 3rdRail also provides Commanders, which are a two-way command-line environment that enables alternative access to IDE features, while providing command and parameter completion and hyperlink navigation. Plus, you'll get everything you need to get started: Ruby, RubyGems, Rails, Mongrel, and your choice of InterBase or MySQL.

The new 3rdRail version 1.1 includes support for Rails 2.x, an enhanced, integrated debugger, support for Mac OS/X 10.5 and Ubuntu 7.1 - as well as updates to the 3rdRail IDE and 3rd-party components.
