Intel Performance Libraries provide highly optimized functions that take full advantage of Intel processors, so that you can achieve maximum application performance and reduce development time.
Intel offers libraries focused on graphics, multimedia, math and signal processing that are optimized for Itanium 2, Xeon, Pentium 4, and Intel Personal Internet Client Architecture (Intel PCA) processors with Intel XScale technology. With a single, common API, Intel Performance Libraries simplify cross-architecture development and save developers time.
Intel Integrated Performance Primitives (Intel IPP) is an extensive library of multicore-ready, highly optimized software functions for multimedia, data processing, and communications applications. For a more complete and cost-effective solution, Intel IPP is available as a component of Intel Parallel Studio 2011, Intel Parallel Composer 2011, Intel Parallel Studio XE 2011, Intel Parallel Composer XE 2011, and Intel C++ Composer XE 2011. Intel IPP offers thousands of optimized functions covering frequently used fundamental algorithms.
Intel Math Kernel Library 10.3 (Intel MKL 10.3) is a library of highly optimized, extensively threaded math routines for science, engineering, and financial applications that require maximum performance. Core math functions include BLAS, LAPACK, ScaLAPACK, Sparse Solvers, Fast Fourier Transforms, Cluster FFTs, Vector Math, and more. Intel MKL version 10.3 is a revision and offers support for Intel Advanced Vector Extensions (Intel AVX), C extensions for LAPACK and PARDISO, Summary Statistics Library, and enhancements to several routines like DGEMM, FFTS, and RNGs.
