What is a license?

A valid software license allows you to legally use a software product on your computer. Different vendors have different licensing programs, under which you can purchase licenses with discounts based on quantity, operating system and/or language etc.

When purchasing a license, you will often get the ability to download the product from the Internet. Alternatively, you might wish to purchase a separate installation CD/DVD which you can use to install the product.

What is a license program?

A license program is vendor-managed program, usually to allow volume discounts when purchasing multiple licenses of software. Vendors often have different licensing programs for corporations, educational institutes and the government.

Moonsoft helps you select the correct licensing program (for instance, Microsoft has several) to save costs and lessen the administrative burden. In fact, this is the other significant advantage to licenses: you as a customer don't need to spend time managing product packages.
