A full product means a product that contains both a license and an installation media, most commonly on a CD/DVD disc. To purchase a full product, you don't need to own a previous version of the product, as you do when purchasing an upgrade-priced product. |

A license is the right to legally use a product. Most commonly, a license product contains only a PDF license certificate or a paper based document of the same. To be able to use the product, the customer must commonly purchase a separate installation CD. |

Maintenance |
A maintenance will commonly include all updates to a product for the duration of the maintenance. For instance, if a new version of the product becomes available, only those customers that have the maintenance available will get the new version for free. Other users must purchase a separate upgrade, if available. |

An upgrade version of the product. Usually, an upgrade product is available for less than a full product. However, to be able to purchase an upgrade, you must usually own a previous full version of the product. |
